And, shhh, let me whisper that ‘it’s totally normal to feel scared, anxious, or pretty nervous about the whole birth thing', especially because TV shows so many scary births! You’ll be pleased to know many of them are also totally. unrealistic. Lots of positive birth stories exist but they don’t make good TV.
It’s time to take the power back into your own hands and prepare for birth so that you can trust your body, your innate wisdom, and look forward to welcoming your baby into this world with love and confidence. Plus, when you prepare for birth you’ll quickly find that you enjoy your pregnancy so much more and experience a lot less aches and pains! I’ve got some brilliant resources for you.

In the last month The Prenatal Snug has welcomed six babies into the world - all of them described as ‘perfect’ or ‘amazing’ births. They also just happened to all be vaginal births but if your idea of a perfect birth is a c-section or lots of pain relief it’ll massively help you too.

The Prenatal Snug has been amazing, so good. All the lovely girls in The Snug, being able to do the yoga whenever it suited me, and Sophia you’re amazing at what you do, you really are. Because it’s all online just being able to go back when you’ve got a spare 20 mins or feel stressed or a bit stiff - it’s just brilliant. I would go back and do your classes or relaxation over and over. I’d pop them on and just be ‘gone’. It was really great.
So good to get yourself moving, and then on the back of the yoga with the amazing relaxation I’d have the best night’s sleep. It was really good.
For anyone who’s not done yoga before it’s really easy; it’s not twisty arms and legs like you see on TV, and even with a bump it’s manageable and gets you stretching. I had quite a sore back and it really eased that off. I am into fitness and being able to get back into that movement with you is really great because labour is a workout.
Birth is not only about making babies. Birth is about making mothers - strong, competent, capable mothers who trust themselves and know their inner strength.
